Bots Whitelist

The Bots Whitelist configuration changes how a user-agent is handled on the QUIC.cloud CDN. In the normal case, all visitors are subject to the connection limit specified in the Connection Limit configuration.

This configuration is useful for situations where a bot needs to access the site repeatedly, e.g. for Facebook shares. NOTE: only use this configuration if necessary. It is easy to spoof a user-agent, so this can bypass site security.

Bots Whitelist expects entries to be listed one per line. Regex is supported and matches are case sensitive.

Example:

^mobile$
agoodbot
We will get the following results:
User-Agent: mobile (MATCH - regex exact match)
User-Agent: notmobile (NO MATCH - does not begin with m, does not contain agoodbot)
User-Agent: goodbot (NO MATCH - does not match the regex, does not contain agoodbot)
User-Agent: thisisagoodbot (MATCH - contains agoodbot)

Some example inputs:

Googlebot is considered a ‘good’ bot by default.
